Latin name-Coleus amboinicus

Plectranthus amboinicus is a perennial plant with an oregano-like flavor and scent, belonging to the family Lamiaceae. It was previously recognized as Coleus amboinicus. Although its origin is uncertain, it is believed to have originated in Africa, and possibly India. Plectranthus amboinicus is widely cultivated and naturalized in other tropical regions where it is used both as a spice and for ornamental purposes.
