pepper mint

Paper mint

Peppermint is a herb that grows naturally throughout Europe and North America. It is a cross between two types of mint: water mint and spearmint. Both peppermint leaves and essential oil extracted from the plant are used for various health purposes. Essential oils are concentrated oils that contain substances responsible for a plant's characteristic odor or flavor. Peppermint is a common flavoring agent in foods and beverages, and its oil is used as a fragrance in soaps and cosmetics. Its use for health purposes dates back several thousand years, with records from ancient Greece, Rome, and Egypt mentioning its use for digestive disorders and other conditions.
